Modesto Police DepartmentDetectives are looking for help identifying brazen ax wielding burglars. On Friday November 16, 2018 about 4:15 a.m., officers from the Modesto Police Department responded to a commercial burglary alarm in the 3800 block of McHenry. Upon arrival officers found the front glass door had been smashed out and money lying outside the store. When the store owners arrived officers reviewed video from the store and observed two White or Hispanic males in their late teens to early twenties approach the store wearing hooded jackets, masks and gloves. This burglary occurred in a 24-hour Wal-Mart shopping center and detectives believe someone may have seen this burglary and the vehicle the subjects fled in. Detectives also believe family or friends might recognize these subjects or know they committed this burglary. One or both of the subjects may have injuries that occurred while climbing through the broken glass door. If you have any information regarding this burglary, please call Crime Stoppers at (209) 521-4636, go to the website at www.stancrimetips.org or use the P3 app. Callers to Stanislaus Area Crime Stoppers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward. #stanareacs #modestopd |
